Accomodation

Hutches

In the smaller non heated shed there are three 5ft hutches, a 5x5 enclosure and a 5ft hutch with run.
Outside of the shed there is a 6ft hutch on its own, a 6ft hutch with run and a double 5ft hutch with run.

The hutches are all painted in pet friendly paint and have lino flooring topped with bedding in each cage for easy cleaning. All hutches are supplied with litter trays, toys, bowls and bottles. The shed has lighting inside and is cleaned thoroughly between uses. In hot or wet weather the runs are covered to provide shade and shelter.

Please bring with you enough dry food to see your bunnies through their stay with us. If your bunny uses cat litter we ask for you to bring this along with you.

You are welcome to bring any favourite toys that you think will help to settle your bunny but please remind me when leaving which toys/bowls etc are your own.

The Cabin

Inside the cabin are four enclosures, three of which measure 4ft by 6ft and one that measures 4ft by 8ft.
These are ideal for indoor rabbits as they are heated through the colder nights. During the summer the cabin stays cool due to its west facing position and has an air conditioner and fan for those extra hot days.

The largest 4ft by 8ft enclosure can be split into two for bunnies from the same household that have failed to bond so they can still see and smell each other, obviously the space is minimised when this is done but its still a great space with plenty of time outside in the runs.

All the rabbits staying inside the cabin daily with have time out in the runs weather permitting.

I have two 120cm guinea pig cages for use if needed, you may be able to bring your own cages if mine are in use and no bigger than 120cm. Guinea pig cages may be places inside the house or the heated cabin.

Rabbit Runs

The runs measure 6ft by 3 ft with a solid roof. In good weather rabbits and guinea pigs will have at least 2 hours minimum in the runs when the boarding is at full capacity. The grass is watered and cut regularly and we try our best to dispose of the droppings.
The bunnies will never be mixed together while staying with us and never go nose to nose with another while here.
Rabbits staying in the smaller hutches will always have priority going into the runs first when the weather may be likely to change.

Other Services
Nail clipping is free for guests, for non guests nail clipping is charged at £5 per rabbit/guinea pig.

I can now only offer grooming service for our existing boarders and loyal clients as my workload has tripled since before the pandemic. I may refuse to groom your pet if it is in need of emergency medical care.

Rabbits are groomed, matted and soiled fur removed, bums and glands cleaned and nails clipped. For guinea pigs fur can be trimmed, pigs can be bathed, glands cleaned and nails clipped.

Short/Medium Haired £10
Giant Rabbits £15
Rabbits with heavily soiled bottoms and large matting £15

Medical Information

Medications are administered at no extra charge. I have experienced and am extremely confident in administering medication for both rabbits and guinea pigs (antibiotics, panacur, metacam, rear guard, injections, lotions and critical care).

Our vet is Vets for Pets on Moorgate Road and is a 5 minute drive away, if your bunny has a history of ill health and your regular vets is within a 30 min drive then I will take them to their usual vets.

In the very rare occasion that your pet is taken unwell during it's stay we will contact you immediately if time allows.  If the time taken to contact you and receive a response will be detrimental to the welfare of your pet we will rush them directly to the vet and contact you as soon as we can thereafter. In leaving your pets in our care you will be required for complete reimbersal of any bills. You are required to settle this amount on pick-up of your bunnies.
I will contact you if I am concerned about your bunny - or take them straight to the vet should time be of the essence.
